Keane Mathez was founded in 2004 in Geneva by Frank Keane and Sébastien Mathez.
It is a Family Office with clients all over the world, the majority being in Switzerland and Europe. The team is composed of 7 people and manages only private funds with no institutional management.
They currently manage about 300-500M. Putting the human at the heart of their business is what makes Keane Mathez so special. They work through personalized relations with clients, keeping a strong sense of human values.
This is reflected even in their juridical structure. Indeed, Keane Mathez is a Limited Partnership as were private banks formerly.
The latter are now all registered as Public Companies, but Keane Mathez is maintaining its Limited Partnership as part of the personalization and trust towards its clients. This also means that the two partners are fully and entirely responsible for all decisions.
Challenges
Centraizing data in an integrated CRM/PMS
Keane Mathez had no Portfolio Management System (PMS), which was not an issue for a long time because consolidations could be done manually as there were only few multi custodian bank clients.
However, each bank has its own ebanking platform which started to be more complicated overtime, hence the need for rationalizing work and centralizing data through a PMS.
The second major challenge was to follow the requirements of the FINMA. The legal framework being gradually stricter, it was necessary to reduce the manual workload of those processes by centralizing data in an integrated CRM/PMS tool which already included those controls and facilitate the monitoring

The choice was made thanks to the excellent human contact, the experience, the coherence of the speech and the professionalism of the team.
From the start, the presentation was of high quality and the interface of the tool was clear. Another factor for choosing WIZE was the proximity of both location and language. With both companies based in Geneva and speaking French, there was no misunderstanding caused by language.
During the implementation of the tool, Keane Mathez felt supported with a very human dimension in the approach even though the project began during the complicated situation of the first lockdown caused by the pandemic. The schedule, which was calculated in circumstances excluding the lockdown, was respected despite the added challenge of digitalizing communications

Simplified tracking and unified vision of their assets
Since the implementation of WIZE and its numerous functionalities, many things changed in the practical area.
The dashboard brings information accessible from everywhere, be it from home or the office with a uniformed overview of each client that gives Keane Mathez a unified vision of their assets under management. There is also gain in comfort for the operational team with a simplified tracking of documents through WIZE and a secure way of communication with end-clients.
