About Banque Heritage
Banque Heritage was born from a need that traditional institutions were unable to meet: understanding, in its entirety, the wealth of a family of entrepreneurs active across several continents and businesses.
Founded 40 years ago, Banque Heritage was initially created to manage the wealth of an entrepreneurial family with deep roots in international commodities trading, from cotton to coffee and cocoa. To address the growing complexity of managing entrepreneurial wealth, the family established its own Family Office in 1986.
Originally designed as a single-family structure, it quickly evolved into a multi-family office serving other entrepreneurial families with similar needs. As its activities expanded, Banque Heritage obtained its banking license in 2004 and has since developed its private banking offering while preserving the entrepreneurial spirit and Family Office DNA on which it was built.
A unique business model coming from the origins
While the bank celebrates its 40-year anniversary in June 2026, the principles that defined its foundation continue to shape its identity today. The philosophy has remained the same: to offer each client the best investment solutions available on the market, without the limitations or biases associated with in-house products. The bank indeed operates on an open architecture model which eliminates any conflict of interest.
The approach is simple yet rare: multi-asset and multi-product, with full-free transparency and no retrocessions. The investment philosophy also reflects a Family Office heritage. It focuses on long-term efficiency and performance, using passive products in efficient markets, selecting external managers where appropriate, and adopting a holistic view of wealth that encompasses both liquid and illiquid assets.
Tools as a way to leverage new possibilities
The management of assets custodied outside Banque Heritage remained a key differentiating factor for the Bank, and the desire to further enhance its Family Office services continued to gain momentum.
While carefully reviewing their growing needs, the team wanted a tool capable of adapting to their size, the complexity of its clients as well as the regulatory aspects. The key elements were not only data management and compliance but also related to the user experience.
A new tool to better serve clients, delivered in advance!
Both teams worked hand-in-hand to perform this migration. As the requirements had been clearly defined by Banque Heritage beforehand, the WIZE Team quickly understood the needs and implemented the first elements of the project, in less than three months and... one month prior to the deadline!
During this phase, the project was focused on consolidation with data feeds, statements, data collection, and reporting. New elements, such as invoicing the management fees, previously done manually, are now directly in WIZE, enabling faster, smoother and less risky management processes. Moreover, Relationship Managers now have direct access to WIZE and can autonomously get the statements of each ex-custody portfolios, which was previously sent by the Asset Management team.
The navigation now feels seamless and easy to the team, enabling the change to the new tool to be easily adopted by everyone.
The Challenge, leveraging the tool to drive value for future business development
The next phase of development for the Family Office activity will be carried out in close collaboration with Banque Heritage, with the objective of building increasingly tailored and sophisticated tools. The roadmap notably includes expanding connectivities capabilities, developing the FIX protocol, and continuing to enhance its operation processes. A major function that WIZE already provides, and that will be studied, is the look-through analysis of funds. Moreover, a strong focus will be placed on reporting and being able to get a detailed status of the different statements, whether held in or outside custody.
New connectivities with other banks will also be implemented in order to provide a service as complete as possible, with the ability to report on non-custodied and non-managed accounts, a real advantage that Banque Heritage will be able to provide to its clients thanks to WIZE.
The goal is clear, with a tool that is integrated within the whole environment, the WIZE system will be shaped to become a true decision support tool for the teams, enabling them to gain time and ultimately, better serve clients with a global and holistic view.
One thing is certain, Banque Heritage and WIZE have the same willingness to, side by side, work to shape the future of finance, to meet in the best possible way the evolving expectations of an international, mobile, and multi-banked client base.
